A New Beginning....

Flint watched the pup with his own pup like inquisitive eyes. He listened to Scythe as he'd introduced himself, as he was asked his own question. "My name is Flint, young one, please I'm not here to frighten you, do come into the shade it is very hot out here, come on, We don't bite. And besides theres another pup your age here you can play with" he had noticed the pups avoidence of his previous question. The dark male got to his paws and swished his tail looking back to the pup, encouraging it too follow.

Upon reaching the shade Flint sat back down again and watched for the pup to arrive.

Aceline watched the dominant male and the pup, with her soft dark brown eyes. Her light gray pelt lusted with a sheen of light blue along her back,neck and tail. A small smile formed on her face as she watched the pup, something she wished she was. Still she could imagine or pretend she was once a pup again. She looked both ways before slowly getting up. Her head pointed strait ahead, as she pranced around a large oak tree laughing. Her eyes were closed as she pranced around, her pelt shined int he suns rays, causing a sheen of darker blue along her tail.

He looked at the black wolf before tilting his head wondering why he was being so kind. He never received this type of kindness from anyone else other than his mother when she was trying to convince him to sleep. Still uncertain he crept slowly around the wolf until he was able to go under the shaded tree too, realizing how nice it was to be under the fresh cool shade rather than the blazing sun and heat.
He plopped down to the ground, sitting on his rump before moving again, trying to get in a comfortable sitting position so his leg wouldn't hurt too much. Scythe looked up and fell back slightly when he saw a flash of fur and saw another wolf running around the tree and blinked as a eyebrow furrowed up.
Shaking his head he looked back at the black wolf staring at him blankly, "Another... pup?"
He puffed out his chest trying to look tough, "I can take him, just like the coyote!" He barked confidently before sneezing and falling back.

Flint watched the pup creep forth suspiciously, and chuckled as he was sent back on his haunches by Aceline busily running around the tree. "This other pup is a girl Scythe, her name is Nakia, And it will be fun watching you two, see she is not a typical girl pup, she loves to wrestle and play. Speaking of which, I wonder where she is" he looked around for Nakis and turned to Charity, "Where is your pup Charity? Scythe and her would be could to play together" he smiled warmly to Charity and his tail swept behind him on the rock.

The charcoal males ears twitched as he wonder also where Ayla was, then thinking that the two would be together. His silhouette showed no definition in his expression as he frowned lightly upon his thinking.

Charity smiled at the female's words. "Thankyou." Turning she saw Flint return to his rock in the shade. Soon followed by a young pup, a little older than Nakia. Immediately she wondered where his parents were. They must be so worried about him. Her eyes held a tinge of sadness at her own loss of her loved ones. The little ones she had hoped to raise. Also the one who she was going to the rest of time with. Why must life always deal out harsh blows?

Looking a the white pups she noticed a cut on his leg. It appeared to be causing him some pain. Moving closer she grinned as he puffed out his chest before giving off a sneeze which bowled him over. Glancing at Flint as he spoke to her she replied calmly, "I believe she is out with Ayla. I'm sure they'll return soon." Sitting down near the male pup, Scythe, as she had heard Flint call him.

With her ears and tail lowered, Nakia backed off and scampered away to get back to her mother. I blew it. I'm no hunter. What kind of a hunter backs down from a hunt? She sighed. Getting closer to the tree where she had left the others, her ears perked hearing voices. Other pup? Lowering her body to the ground she crept forward silently.

Peering through the grass she spotted the form of a white male. She raised her lips in a snarl. Leaping forward like she had seen Ayla do, she pounced on the male pinning him down with her front paws. "What are you doing here? This is my pack!" she barked. "Think you could come here and take over while I was away did ya?"

His ears perked to the voice of a pure female who sat nearby him. Scythe shook his body, causing a small cloud of dust to build as he picked himself up from the ground before feeling a unknown force pushing him back down onto the ground.
As Scythe hit the floor once more, a short yelp escaped his mouth before being overcome by a snarl, before baring his fangs to the figure of a grayish female that had pinned him down.
He winced at the shot of pain through his leg before snapping his muzzle at her face, trying to cause her to flinch backwards until he finally was able to get his footing beneath her stomach and throwing her off to the side.
He shot a glare towards her before rolling onto his feet and raising his puffed tail just staring at her quietly with an irritated expression.
"Eh... So your the other pup, huh?" He said looking at her with little interest thinking she won't be too fun to hang around. He snorted lightly and gazed off, "I don't care, besides this doesn't even seem like a pack, let alone being yours."

Aceline came to a staop, her soft dark brown eyes lusted with hazel watched the group of wolves. With a sigh, she turned away, her soft silver pelt glistened in the suns rays, causing a sheen of light blue to appear on her back,neck, and tail. With grace, she quickly walked over to a small pond near by.Water, splashed onto the soil around it, causing ripples to for, in the water. New wolves coming from different directions already came to this pack. At least im not the newbie, she thought to herself. Relaxing onto her back, she rolled around a patch of soft green grass. Coming to a sudden stop, she laid down softly to her stomach. Her paws soaking in the cool refreshing water, she let out a small smile.

Charity's eyes went wide as her daughter sprang from nowhere and attacked the male pup. Overcoming her initial shock she scolded her pup. "Nakia! Nakia you get off him this instant." She didn't have to wait long before the male pup freed himself from Nakia's hold. "Stop it you two. There's no need for fighting. Not in this pack." She moved herself between the two, forming a physical barrier with her paws.

Nakia growled at the male pup as he tried to scare her off. Such things wouldn't work on her. He did managed to fling her off, which didn't please her at all. Landing with and 'oof' she picked herself up and prepared to charge at the white pup but her mother got in the way and she had to listen to him speak. "Of course it's a pack!" she barked, "We were brought here by destiny. To lead a pack." Sitting down Nakia frowned. He sure seemed like he was going to be a barrel of laughs.

"Please my dears can't you get along?" Charity asked, stepping back. "Scythe, would you like to stay with us? How about I get something for your wound?" she asked him kindly. Looking back at Nakia she gave the pup a hard stare saying, 'You'd better be good to our guest.'

Nakia turned away and rolled her eyes. Yeah right. Like I'd ever be nice to him. Trotting off she went up to Flint. "Mister Flint, can I play with you?"

Flint gave a small grin watching Nakia leap from the bushes and tackle Scythe, watching as her mother dealt with her easily, she made her way over to the charcoaled male. He pushed back on his paws as he sat up, watching Nakia.

Listening to the young wolf he smiled and swiftly got to his paws, ever so quickly but gently rolling the pup over to her back playfully before bounding off through the grass hoping the pup would follow him. As he did he sang out "Betcha' can't catch me Nakia!" he looked over his shoulder for the pup. He bounded slowly taking small and slow lopes allowing the pup to catch him up and get him.

The grass waded to his sides as his brown pelt stuck out through the brazen grass. The clear blue skies possessed a deadly sun, dealing out its harsh rays. After a number of moments, the pink tongue of Flint's lolled out the side of his mouth as he loped rhythmically through the blades of grass.

Aceline watched as the alpha and pup play, a small laugh came from her. She stuck out her tongue, almost mimicking the alpha. Her soft brown eyes lusted with hazel, watched ever so closely. Her paws close to her chest, went up and down almost as walked in place. Her tail move from side to side, a small smile came upon her face as she felt the suns warming rays against her skin. She knew the sun must be setting, the moving water made the feeling even more relaxing.

Ayla heaved a sigh as she stood there in the sun after having done nothing but thinking since the pup refused the offer to hunt and returned to the others. The hare still sat quivering in her jaws, occasionally kicking out in an attempt to free itself, but for the past few minutes it had been as though the fae's white coat had been fused to the ground, preventing her from moving. Multiple times the thought of just crushing the hare then and there and eating it before Nakia saw her crossed her mind, but for some strange reason the thought of betraying the pup's trust made her feel guilty - it was rare that any wolf had that effect on her so quickly, let alone a pup.

Her body reluctantly loosened up and she relinquished her hold on the small mammal, instinct fighting against her as she took a step away from it. The hare sat there for a moment, dazed and confused, before small but powerful legs shot it forward and it disappeared back into the grass. The late afternoon sun played across her eyes and fiery shades of colour swirled in her golden irises as she padded towards the others. Uneasy at the sight of so many wolves already forming the 'pack', she veered towards the frolicking Flint and Nakia, watching them with an amused smile.

"So are you just going to play around in the grass, old timer, or do you intend on showing us the actual territory?" Ayla asked with a perfect smirk alighting her face. This was only an impermeable cover though for the sudden confused rush she felt inside for when she had spoken her stomach had twisted sharply, a heavy feeling now resting in her gut. These feelings unbeknownst to the others, she watched them carefully, awaiting her answer~

Charity watched as Nakia went off to play with Flint. Settling down on the ground she rested her head on her paws. Closing her eyes she just listened to the wolves around her. It had been a good many years since she had been with a group of wolves this big. Not that this 'pack' was very large. Most of her life had been spent with her immortal mate, until he passed. The sight of his body had been a shock to the female. A soundless whine came from her heart. They were going to raise many litters together, but they had only had the one. Nakia their only survivor...

She opened her eyes to watch her pup at play. She was a wild one. Much like her father. A voice caused her to turn her head to the sound. It was Ayla, back from wherever it was she went. Her question was one that held Charity's interest. To see the rest of the territory would be nice but it could also wait. Something had crossed the female's face though. It was almost unperceivable but she saw it.

Nakia barked as she was rolled over by the male. Giving a playful yip she dashed after him, taking him up on his challenge. "You sure about that!" she yelled back. She glide through the grass. The yellow brown blades being slightly taller than her. The male's easily lope was not fast enough to get away from the pup. Her quick strides closing the gap. The male's swinging tail was within her sights. "I'm going to get you!" she barked.

Flint kept his lazy loping pace through the long grass, hearing the pup not too far off behind him as she barked like crazy chasing him. The Charcoaled male whipped his head around to see her catching his six, as he did the male started to speed up slightly just enough to remain out of her reach. "Come on Nakia! Come get me!"he taunted the young pup, as his strides lengthened over the plains with ease.

Circling around he heard Ayla shout to him "So are you just going to play around in the grass, old timer, or do you intend on showing us the actual territory?" Flint continued to double-back, as he fast approached Ayla and the others resting under the tree. As he did, the distance quickly shortened between him and Ayla and within a meter the lanky male leapt over her and slid around in a circle to face her, kicking up little dust. He chuckled, "Your only as old as you feel, young one. And when you live forever, you never grow up! he chanted happily, swishing his tail either side, sweeping the dust around him.

"Those of you, wishing to join the pack, follow me to the real territory, You may of thought this was it, but there is much beauty to be seen, my friends" He spoke more in a serious tone before heading off with a deep howl rumbling from his paws. He past the tree and headed off north to the territory his tail carried high and happily.

Ayla's trademark smirk crossed her face at his reply and she chuckled under her breath, ears perked forward keenly for his answer. Upon hearing his words her eyes lit up, the thought of running and exploring sending bursts of hot energy coursing through every stretch of muscle in her body. As soon as he took off Ayla's legs were burning with the need to run and were already in motion beneath her before she realised she was moving, tufts of grass and earth flying up behind her and her steady stride.

A small and fleeting genuine smile touched her lips as she closed her eyes to the wind in her face, lengthening each stride until her paws barely brushed the earth and she was speeding across the landscape. Within seconds she had surpassed Flint, but she kept running, a small laugh escaping her jaws and being lost to the wind as an almost pup-like euphoria took over her.

Finally slowing her pace and circling round a bit until she was in stride with the obsidian male, Ayla began to notice that the heavy feeling in her stomach hadn't left and her sudden euphoria vanished, the slightest beginnings of a frown furrowing her brow. She travelled next to him wordlessly, casting a quick glance behind her to see who else was following, before being lost in a trail of her own thoughts~

Nakia bounded forward after the male. She could only just not catch up to him. Her shorter legs not able to make the distance like his long strides. She followed him back to Ayla, crashing into the female when he lept. "Oof." The pup stepped backed a little dazed but shook it off, looking up expectantly at Flint. As he and Ayla ran off she cried after them, "Wait for me!" Picking up into a run she tried to catch up.

Charity smiled as Nakia had fun with Flint. A look of alarm crossed her face as Nakia bumped into the female. she breathed a sigh of relief however as the pup was unharmed. Seeing the few run off she called to the others there, "You all coming? I'm sure there will be some-place better then out here in the heat." Padding after the others she changed into an easy lope knowing that if she wished her paws would take her like the wind.

Scythe dropped his ears slightly as he gazed up to the female who offered to help him with his wound. He glanced down over at it noticing it was much worse than from when he first encountered the coyote. Scythe limped slightly closer to her and nodded shyly, never really having to ask for help before but thinks it couldn't hurt this one time. "Yes, please." He murmured embarrassingly as he looked down at his paw while pawing a small pebble.

Wyatt's ears perked at Ayla's comment of viewing the rest of the territory, if there were any. His eyes followed the male, Flint, as he returned to the group and swiftly prompted them to follow him to some 'beautiful' place.

The male lifted himself to his feet with a large groan as he tried to shake the stiffness from laying in one place for too long. He let out a small yawn before trailing behind the rest of them, still ears open and listening out for anything.

Wyatt took a small glance back and stopped in his tracks. He studied the small pup for a few moments before turning and walking to him. Sitting down in front of the pup he let out a warm smile,"c'mon kid, we can sort that out once we get there. Alright walking, or want a lift?"

Scythe watched a new male approach him and he backed up a little before tilting his head, noticing he was kind too. 'Strange, no one has ever been this kind to me before...' He thought to himself, suspicious of their kind nature. His ears dropped as he glanced back at his wound, knowing that it won't help just on it's own so he nodded slighlty before puffing out his chest saying, "No, it's ok I can still walk." He said before limping on after them.
