Name: Eros
Age: youngling
Appearance: Black with fluorescent yellow, Eros isn't easily seen. He is small and can only fly short distances due to his age. Though powerful in his strength. He is a chunky little guy, with big feet and ears.
Personality: Shy and fun-loving, happy and carefree. Can be a bit of trouble to care for, but loves attention.

A small black shadow moved through the forests of the night. Hunting small creatures, mice, rats, possums, anything that it could catch. Its small wings fluttered about and carried it only small distances. Eros, a young night fury roamed the forest as his own, taking the food as he pleased at night while lounging about by day. The young dragon had a lot to learn, but not that he knew it.

Eros walked about through the forest, heading back to his cave, where he was born to slumber. His long tail flailed about behind him as he wandered along, his big feet crunching the leaves and twigs. It wasn't long before he reached his cave and laid down and started his nap for the day. Only to awaken the next night.

A snore soon came over him as he became deep into sleep, his tail still swished side to side, dreaming of catching all the small creatures he could to eat. His small wings fluttered lightly twitching about as he slept. The day starting to rise, and the sun boring in on Eros' birth cave. He shifted about in the sun and moved more to the darkness of the cave, being hidden from the eyes of any normal creature for now.

Age: young adolescence
Appearance: Violet is a violet purple sort of colour, her mane and the hair on her tail are short and of a bright pink colour. This bright pink is also reflected in her eyes.
Abilities: To breath fire, beyond that she doesn't know.
Personality: Violet is a wild young one. She most certainly had a free will and she likes to use it. Don't cross her lest she become violent toward you. Though despite her sometimes sharp temperament she really is a sweet thing.

Dragon Ponies I partially made up. They exist on Pony Valley as fire ponies. Anything to do with what they can do, or their life I've made up.
Dragon Ponies don't get as large as most other dragons, only ever getting as big as a Clydesdale at the most. Different to most dragons being solitary creatures, these dragons are herd animals. They live breath and fight as a herd. Younglings, also known foals, are born without scales which grow in as they get older fully protecting them from extreme heat by the time they are fully grown. Their fully grown scales are very tough and though not able to protect from bullets can protect them from minor scratches.
Dragon Ponies breath fire and live in hot areas, with their young ones born in cooler pockets. Their preferred food source is coal but also eat a variety of other things, like grass, leaves, sometimes if they are really hungry they will eat branches or ever rocks.
Herds are run by a dominant male and female, and often some seconds, though every creature has a rank in the herd and knows their place. Unlike a wolf pack where only the dominant pair breeds, Dragon Pony herds, everyone has a mate and can breed.
To humans, Dragon Ponies make the ideal dragons to domesticate. Often they will capture wild ones to sell at markets and the like. Excellent work beasts they are often used by the poorer humans to work in their fields. To others they make great pets. Another use if for

Onto Violet's past... She was born into a decent sized herd of fifty beasts. For the first few months life was great, living the perfect life of a Dragon Pony. Her parents were wonderful and she had many playmates, not all of them liking her bold attitude. Everything was great, until the humans came. These creatures captured many of the herd, and all they didn't capture they killed. Violet's father was killed by the humans.
Her mother, wounded but not yet dead fled with her daughter. They left their home, travelling mostly by flight with Violet hitching a ride on her mother's back. When they came across the forest which Violet now lives in her mother was too exhausted to go any further. For about a week the pair lived in the forest. After that time Violet's mother became ill from her previous wounds. Not long after she died, leaving Violet alone in the world. Being the strong hearted dragon she is Violet managed to live on her own. Until one day...

VioletRose flapped her wings playfully in the sunlight. Oh how she loved her freedom in life. Rolling in the grass she kicked her legs in the air. A butterfly fluttered past and she felt inclined to follow it. Getting up she chased after the flying insect, her mane and tail flying. It led her in front of a cave. Something smell odd inside. She'd smelt something like it around the forest before but never so strong. Forgetting the butterfly she ventured inside. The suns rays were not so bright inside but her eyes soon adjusted to the lower light. Inside she spotted a small black scaled ball of a thing. Going up to it she nudged it with her nose wondering what it was. She looked at it curiously, swishing her tail. "It doesn't really smell like coal," she mumbled to herself.

Violet looked strangely at the little creature that emerged from the black scale ball. It even let out a hiss. She snorted back at it, her brow wrinkling in between her little horns. "What am I?" she repeated the little black thing's question. "I'm a Dragon Pony. It's more than I can say for the likes of you." She looked down at the creature sitting next to her. Standing she was at least seven centimetres taller than him. "So what then are you, hatching?"

Eros tilted his head at the snort given by the funny looking creature as it repeated his question. Raising his two front legs he sat back on his back ones looking at the creature as it introduced itself as a 'Dragon Pony' he giggled lowly, thinking of a dragon pony as the one in front of him. Such strange creatures. Though he became frustrated at the second remark made by her, for a Dragon Pony, she sure was a bit of a bully. Being questioned then of what he was; It occurred to Eros that he knew what he was, but how did he know what he was.

"I'm a Night Fury" he replied simply, still studying the funny coloured dragon. "Whats your name Dragon Pony, Mines Eros" he continued on watching the funny dragon. He couldn't help but giggle a little more.

The little Night Fury, as he called himself said his name was Eros. "Bit of a strange name isn't it?" she mumbled under her breath, ignoring his giggle for now. Speaking more clearly she said, "My name, Eros, is VioletRose. It's a combination of the two flowers." She flicked her tail around, "So can you even fly?" she asked, observing his small wings. "What'cha doing sleeping in the day anyway? That's what's night for."

Eros looked the strange pony like dragon over. "I can so fly! And my name isn't funny, yours is weird... Violetrose" he persisted and then repeated her name. He scowled at the funny looking dragon. Then her next remark, as to why he was sleeping during the day. He hoped to outsmart her with big words "I am a nocturnal quadruped, thank-you very much!" he stuck his small pink tongue out at the other dragon. She certainly was rude and demanding of answers. The young Night Fury continued to sit back on his haunches and somewhat crossed his fore-legs over his chunky, little chest.

Eros smiled as he seemed to outsmart the Pony Dragon "quadruped" he repeated and sighed deciding to explain its meaning "It means creature, animal or beast okay?" he smirked wickedly at her second remark as he seemed to make her infuriated with ease. Looking at Violetrose he decided it was his turn to ask the questions "Why did you wake me and what where you doing out in the daylight?" he tilted his head and looked at the strangely coloured dragon wondering how it gained such colours.

Eros nodded in agreement to the Pony dragons words, most creatures certainly where more active during the day. But he was nocturnal for now and wasn't about to change it just to get a bit better of a snack. He gave a big yawn and looked to the Pony Dragon. "So," he said with a sigh, his long black ears twitching "What do we do now?" he looked outside the cave spotting the harsh light ducking through the trees wherever it could.

"Uh... Okay Violet, I'll guess i'll see you later then.." Eros spoke as he watched Violet disappear back to the entrance, and Eros decided to curl back up in his little ball that he so calmly slept in.

Violet soon came charging back and was nudging him to move, "What!? What?!" he hissed getting back to his feet wondering what game she was playing at now. He saw the look of worry and terror on her face and decided to stop his carrying on and slunk to the back of the cave, his eyes peeled on the entrance and he looked to Violet his ears pinned back in fear of the unknown.

Eros felt Violet curl up to him. She certainly looked worried, he heard strange voices of creatures he hadn't known, and again had no fear of.. yet. Eros' bright yellow eyes glistened in the dark as he saw something being held by a strange two legged creature. The sounds where definitely frightening to him. He huddled into Violet, out of fear and desperation of not knowing what to do. There was no back exit to the cave, how where the two of them going to fight off these strange two legged creatures.

Eros gave a helpless cry as he saw his friend become captured by the horrid two legged creatures. Becoming infuriated he felt his gut twist and turn with a fire burning within him. He shifted about uncomfortable as he stared at the burly two legged thing in front of him. The young night fury's gut started to churn around more and he produced a hiccup, frowning upon the hiccup he was soon forced to open his mouth again to produce a blue bolt that sent the burly two legs back into the one that had caught Violet. With that Eros, though deeply confused leapt forth and tried to free his newly found friend, "Not without you" he grunted giving a small grin.

After a moment of gnawing on the net with his small dagger like teeth he soon freed Violet and leapt over the two legs who where still passed out, and spread his wings taking flight "C'mon Violet!" he shouted looking behind him as he hovered about the ground before flapping his wings and taking off through the forest. He narrowly but easily dodged the trees and started to slow wondering where his companion was.

Eros smiled and gave a nod to Violet's thanks, as she caught up to him. He continued to fly swiftly through the forest listenening to his friend chatter away about this thing called 'humans' Eros had to think deeply about what she was meaning, he figured she probably meant the two legged creatures that they had met just moments ago. "No I suppose not, I didn't know they exaieted till a few minutes ago" he spoke naively looking up to Violet who was flying a little higher than him and seemed to stare off at something in the distance. Eros flew up to see what was going on, looking out into the distance there seemed to be these tall solid things, almost like tree trunks (buildings) but looked to be made of rock. Eros' jaw dropped almost literally and he gasped not taking his eyes off it he questioned Violet "What's that?"
